Numantec in Catania: training event on venous access

On September 26–27, 2025, Catania will host the conference “venous access and the management of parenteral nutrition in hospitals and in the community.”

On this occasion, Numantec will hold a workshop on Friday, September 26, at around 12:15 p.m., entitled: “Rational selection of the most appropriate device for hospital and home parenteral nutrition”.
The goal is to present Numantec’s complete portfolio of vascular access devices, with a special focus on PICC implantation simulation.

This event offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to update their knowledge and exchange ideas on the indications, management, and technological innovations related to venous access, a key element in everyday clinical practice.

The importance of venous access in hospital practice and home care

Venous access is one of the cornerstones of modern medicine: it enables the administration of life-saving therapies, ensures parenteral nutrition, allows for frequent blood sampling, and supports the management of complex treatments.
From peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVs), used daily in healthcare facilities, to peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), recommended for medium- to long-term therapies, the proper management of these devices is crucial to patient safety, the prevention of complications, and the effectiveness of therapeutic pathways.

To delve deeper into these topics, on September 26 and 27, 2025, at the Plaza Hotel in Catania, Numantec will take part in the conference organized by the Cenestesi Foundation, with Mauro Pittiruti serving as scientific director.

The event will feature lectures by industry experts and practical sessions focused on the safe use of catheters, aiming to provide participants with valuable tools to improve the quality of care, reduce the risk of infections and complications, and enhance patient comfort.
It represents an opportunity for professional growth and exchange, combining scientific updates, interactive workshops, and educational discussions.
