Innovative Home Care Treatment Products by Numantec

Numantec offers a comprehensive range of innovative products specifically designed to enhance the safety, comfort, and effectiveness of home care treatments.

In the context of home therapies, the use of appropriate devices plays a crucial role in ensuring maximum safety and patient protection. Treating patients at home does not mean compromising the effectiveness of the therapy—it means improving its accessibility, comfort, and the overall quality of life.
At Numantec, we strongly believe in the value of home care and design our devices specifically to simplify use, enhance the patient experience, and support healthcare professionals even outside the hospital setting.
Our mission is to make every therapy safe, effective, and sustainable—even within the walls of a patient’s home.

Peripheral Intravenous Catheters

These are safe, flexible devices made from biocompatible materials such as polyurethane, designed for peripheral intravenous infusions. They provide comfort and reduce the need for repeated venipunctures, making them ideal for home-based therapies.

Long Cannulas

Long cannulas are medium-length vascular access devices (8–10 cm) suitable for use over a period of up to four weeks. Offering greater stability compared to traditional cannula needles, they help reduce the risk of phlebitis, increase catheter dwell time, and allow for the safe administration of medications. In a home care setting, they are particularly valuable for prolonged intravenous therapies, minimizing the need for frequent replacements and improving overall patient comfort and treatment adherence.

Midline

A Midline catheter is a peripheral venous access device measuring 8–25 cm in length, inserted into the deep veins of the upper arm. It is indicated for medium- to long-term therapies (up to 29 days), including the administration of medications, fluids, antibiotics, and peripheral parenteral nutrition. Midlines reduce the need for repeated venipunctures and carry a lower risk of complications compared to short peripheral cannulas, offering a more comfortable and sustainable solution for patients requiring extended home treatments, particularly those with difficult venous access.

PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Venous Catheter)

A PICC is a central venous access device inserted peripherally, enabling infusion therapy, blood draws, and high-pressure contrast media injection. It is less invasive than other central lines and can remain in place for extended durations (from 1 to 12 months), depending on the patient’s clinical condition, treatment plan, and catheter maintenance. PICCs are ideal for long-term home care management due to their versatility and reduced complication rates.

Standard and Pre-filled Syringes

Sterile, single-use syringes are designed for safe and user-friendly administration. Pre-filled versions, typically containing saline or other specific solutions, help reduce the risk of contamination, dosage errors, and improve procedural efficiency, making them especially useful in home care settings.

Subcutaneous Catheters

These are a simple, safe option for drug administration at home, particularly when venous access is challenging or unnecessary.

Elastomeric Pumps

Compact, portable, and single-use, elastomeric pumps deliver continuous, controlled infusions without the need for batteries or electricity. Driven by a constant-pressure elastomeric membrane, they ensure accurate drug delivery, making them ideal for outpatient and home-based infusion therapy.

Disposable Gowns and Sheets

Made primarily of non-woven fabric (TNT), these disposable protective devices are essential for maintaining hygiene and reducing the risk of cross-contamination. They offer an effective barrier against liquids and pathogens, helping protect both patients and caregivers during home-based medical procedures.

The Benefits of Home Care Treatment Products

The adoption of advanced home care treatment products marks a significant evolution in healthcare delivery. These tools offer measurable benefits not only for patients, but also for families and caregivers, easing the logistical and emotional burden of treatment.

Numantec’s commitment is reflected in the development of a wide range of devices designed to meet the diverse needs of home care therapies. From infusion systems to protective and filtration devices, each solution is engineered to deliver practicality, safety, and reliability.
We continuously work to expand our product portfolio with the goal of supporting both patients and healthcare professionals with effective, easy-to-use tools—also suitable for home use.
